Advice for Begining Artists
Have you decided to start making art in a more professional sense? Or have you always wanted to put more time and effort into your art but are unsure where to start and used to the "starving artist" image?
Here I have complied some tips and tricks to get you started.
Don't listen to people who tell you to compromise. Don't quit. Keep trying and working at what you love.
Be yourself. Make the art you want to make with your preferred medium. Try new things but make things that are a reflection of you.
Strive for authenticity. Be you. Be prolific. Make good art, make bad art. Do it all and don't look back. Enjoy!
Experiment constantly. If you are comfortable with a medium or technique do something with it that makes you uncomfortable — try left handed if you are right handed, break the rules, mix media etc.
Above all practice as much as possible and never settle for a level of ability, always seek to learn and grow as an artist by exploring.
